Tom,
Thanks for the link. Sounds like you will be having fun at the Audiofest with Don.

Decided to put some leveling feet on the baffles and wings, so here are the 3/8" wedge anchors and bolts to use on them.

With some DAP Blue Stick the FPS drivers are installed for testing until the square drive #4 wood screws arrive.

Just opened up the second batch of FPS planars to discover that they are the wrong model compared to the last batch.

Emailed PE and now wait to see the resolution.

Always something!

Today, will finish up converting the modified ChipAmp modules to pair up channels for the FPS drivers. The Euro strips arrived to change the input wiring to parallel channels. Each FPS planar gets it's own balanced input ChipAmp module for drive.

Next drill holes for the leveling feet in the 1"x4" bases and glue the nuts in place. Three per side.

Have the speaker cables prepped and then get Fast On connectors attached to connect to the drivers. Then on to CLIO measurements.

PE is fixing the issue with FPS and will be waiting on new drivers. Now the wait begins.

To make progress on the measurements with the drivers I have, here are the 6 cables to connect the FPS drivers to the moded ChipAmp outputs for the one channel. Next get the Fast On connectors and crimp them on for the drivers.

First FPS line array with wired planars ready to be connected to the amps.

This will be all I can build until PE ships me the correct matching FPS drivers. They are shipping the remaining 7 correct ones in stock and have 3 backordered to replace the 10 incorrect ones I have.

The Blue Stick is barely holding the drivers, so not sure if I have to wait until the #4 wood screws arrive.

Now to see if I let the magic smoke out when I apply power to them all.

For those wondering about digital crossovers and their differences to passive crossovers, here is a white paper from me to start discussions.

You've made a major mistake by ignoring the DCR of the speaker, which is still relevant even with a single driver.... Also, you make no case for a digital active crossover being superior to an analog active crossover. This will probably get enough responses that it should have it's own thread.

The other difference for the digital crossover is the capability for pure time delay for time alignment that is difficult with active analog crossovers with multi-cabinet separated speakers.

Ok, will start another thread.
