Windows love hate relationship

GIMP is a fantastic Photoshop substitute, but one needs to use the graphics tools you know how to use. I have the same issue with CAD tools, I am so used to AutoCAD, and none of the Linux CAD applications really work the same way or have the versatility.

If your motherboard has a second ssd slot (I am assuming a desktop and not a laptop computer) you might try linux in a dual boot mode. I would be happy to do an install for you. What are you using for sound out from your computer?

I started as unix internals programmers and been using Linux since 1992.
Linux is an excellent choice for back-office/server roles. Its pretty much useless for desktop roles. However trashily Windows is implemented, it is the undisputed king for desktop computing roles.
