Very cool Paul. And thanks again for allowing me to use the egg photo from the CAF last year in my audioXPress article. It was so good they used it multiple times.

Paul, I did not know you were a professional photographer. The images are amazing and make the fast snapper like myself very envious. No doubt, it all depends on the situation and the audience. I take a lot of photos for my travel blog and often I only have a second of so to 'see' the shot, take it and then crop later. You really have to hang on when you are careening along in a tuk-tuk and the shot appears out of the blue.

Congratulations from a never satisfied, amateur photographer. Those shots look really good!

Here is a sort of funny story about CAS. I took photos for two days at CAF with a brand new camera. A Fuji XT3. I had a single memory card inserted. Sunday evening I was messing around with it and noticed a new firmware update had become available. Standard procedure for me is to format the card, download the firmware and flash it onto my camera body. Which I did. Yup, I deleted all my CAF photos. :sad-roulette:

Excellent photos Paul.

May be you should consider mirrorless cameras with extra long exposure instead hyperfast ISO.

When shooting long exposures the mirror is not as big a factor as your own movement. In addition, with long exposures where people are in they scene they move as well.

To eliminate movement, the camera is mounted on a stand and remotely triggered.

Ages ago, when photography was my main hobby, I shot some 60second (usually under 10 secs) exposure with tethered trigger on 35mm 100ISO film ages go. For low-light still photography, mirrorless is the first requirement IMO followed by quality lens like Zeiss. For closeup photography, I used fast 50mm lens mounted reverse as my budget was limited then.
