Shashi,

I have two 10-W OTL tube amps you could try, and I may not need them for a couple of months. I may need to recall one or possibly both before the requested three month period. I think that you borrowed one of these before, so you are already familiar with it.

David

Thanks David. I will contact you offline.

Would a small capacitor in series with the driver help remove the low frequency hum? Have you ever tried that?

Yes, I plan to do exactly that, but it aint gonna be small. For 600Hz, I need 33uF cap.

:character-oldtimer: Keep in mind that when multi-amping with compression drivers, the slightest amount of hum will destroy diaphragms with metal surrounds in short order....

BTW, I had to remove Behringer, it was not working properly.

Right now, DriveRack crossover is set to 0dB attenuation of HF and the LF is passed thru the second preamp to catch up with HF levels. Nice... Beats the heck of out of lpads or any other attenuation of HF. Why didnt I think of that before?

How does this line of thinking jive with getting rid of speaker level crossovers?

This is precisely a speaker level crossover.

In my mind, the idea is to use as few crossovers as possible, preferably none.

I dont have all the answers, Joe. A lot will depend upon trial and error method.
Aiming at 2 of the 5 ways to be CD/Tractrix combos with frequency ranges of ~600Hz to ~2200Hz and ~2200Hz to ~10kHz. May be the High pass filters for CDs at speakers level and rest at line level. Expect to take 1-2 years before settling down.
