Post subject:  Krell KSL Preamp

Here you go. Anyone that has the "chops" to trouble-shoot and repair -or- does not mind sending a pre-amp back to the manufacturer for repair can end up with a really nice musical pre-amp. I originally got this piece as a back-up should my in-service pre-amp be out of service. I upgraded this KSL and was quite pleased with the playback quality as it had the liquidity of a tube amp and the kick-ass dynamics of solid state. Once satisfied I put it storage and went back to my system. As it turns out, the CPU in my pre-amp went kaput a couple of years later and so I packed it up, sent it out to the manufacturer for repair. In the meantime I figured I pull out the KSL so it could earn its keep. WTF?! The sound was distorted right from start-up and I was clueless as to why. Not having the skill-base to trouble-shoot it or any instrumentation to help with that effort I put it back in storage. That was then and this is now. I've moved on and have no interest in dealing with it.

I offer it here for FREE to anyone that wishes to take it on. I also include the stock phono board -- playing condition unknown. Repair the pre-amp -or- get it repaired -- the end result will please you. Contact me through PM -- first come -- first served. Pick-up only unless you wish to pay for shipping.

Attached are photos and a brochure.
