I have a Sony player that was top of the line when introduced and had a retail price of $1,800. I no longer play CDs so it is for sale for $250 if you pick it up. It is built like a tank and weighs around 40 lbs. I have the original box so it could be shipped but it would be at your cost. There is a lot of info about this player on the web.

I have a slightly different early Sony player and these are very good players. Mine plays DVD-A and SACD’s also.

I'll bet it did! I was sorely tempted and would have paid you handsomely for shipping to OR. I've been looking for a Sony CD or SACD as a transport. But I'm glad someone got it.
