They need to do their homework. The BNC connector is a 50-ohm connector -- not a 75-ohm connector.

According to Wikipedia a BNC connector can be either 50 or 75 Ohm.

Yes, but they're different in appearance. Walt has incorrectly identified the 75ohm connector on the Gungnir as 50ohms however.

Actually no -- some vendors will sell them as 75-ohm out basic ignorance and so-goes the buyers. Attached are comparative images to view for entertainment and education.

That's only one variant. There ARE 75ohm jacks that have an insulator on the center conductor, it's just smaller. A BNC jack that has no insulator on the center conductor is almost certainly 75ohm, but if it has an insulator, you have too look more closely.
