If anyone wants to go for it -- I have direct experience restoring the RABCO arm. Will coach for beer and pizza. ;)

Last thing I need is another project, but if I did get it you'd have to settle for beer and brisket ;)

I live just down the street from NIST and once got a tour of the facility including their museum. Jacob Rabinow was a long time employee there with many unique designs and patents. Here are some interesting links including the tonearm patent:

https://www.nist.gov/nist-museum/jacob-rabinow
https://web.archive.org/web/20160304055 ... index.html
https://patents.google.com/patent/US3249362A/en

At that time they had the original prototype of the linear tracking tonearm that Rabinow designed. I don't know if it is currently on display.

The one I restored was fiddly to say the least -- but once done and dialed-in it worked as advertised.

Quaffing your glorious brisket is a tough job but someone has to do it. ;)
