probably a pretty good deal.
TT lists for $350 plus you get a better cartridge if one happens to like Shure
If you are going to upgrade to a better cartridge offer less with out the cartridge

I REALLY don't need another turntable but this looks VERY interesting for the price:

Love it! Checks the right boxes for great potential. I can't justify the purchase right now, but if I needed a table, I'd try this one out.

Prediction: great reviews and price increases. :(

Thanks for the link Mr. TubeDriver!

Stuart you are right on. It looks like much more money. Of course photos can lie. Would have to touch and feel before I buy

I am probably going to get one. I hesitate because sometimes it is worth the wait till the mk II version gets released which usually sorts out any initial issues. The one thing I did notice in the video is that the platter appeared to have a LARGE amount of wobble. Need to hear from the first reviewers whether this was just a preproduction issue that was resolved. If I do get it, you are welcome to drop by to hear it.

I would not buy it until a review coms out to read about build quality.
If there is a return policy then there is no problem.
If you buy one then please report what you think.

Regarding wobble, the initial assembly of loosening the bearing cap (thrust plate), attaching to the bearing to the platter and inserting the platter assembly onto the bearing shaft DID show alot of wobble when the platter was spun. But this was before re-tightening the bearing cap. At the end of the video, the only wobble I noticed was due to the record surface itself, the platter appeared to run fairly true with minimal runout.

It does look like a nicely made turntable for the money. Usually one would like to have a bit more platter thickness using aluminum, because thicker aluminum is better damped (less ringing). But one can always add damping to the bottom of the platter (Mortite, modeling clay, etc.)
