I have two of our own Tom P's subs that he retired after building the eggs. These are Dayton Audio EVC385-88 15 inch subwoofers in flat black cabinets which are 24 x 24 x 18.5 inches each. They have a 93.7 sensitivity rating, great for you tube lovers. Fs is 20.9 Hz. These have switches to allow them to be used at 4 Ohms, the voice coils in parallel, or 16 Ohms, the voice coils in series. Connections are with Speakon connectors, cables included, there are two connections per cabinet to allow looping to another speaker - Tom was using four of these. Or own DaveB uses these in his system. PM me and I can send you the spec sheet.

Yes. They were in the two part article in audioXpress in April and May 2015 called "True Bass Rides Again".
