Or if you have something interesting you're working on I could be persuaded to make the trip up there. Been looking for fellow DIYers out here but maybe not hard enough. There must be some in the Portland or SF areas...

NY expat here in the SF area. I don't know a lot of hard core tube DIYers here but there is an annual event in SF called Burning Amp. Most participants hang out on diyaudio and there are quite a few of Nelson Pass fanboys in attendance. Still a fun time. Next one is Sunday Nov 12. Details here http://www.burningamp.org/
A bit of a haul but driveable from southern Oregon.

THanks, Gary, that's great to hear! I'll check it out. I might just go. We run down to SF all the time so we're used to the drive. I can always use an excuse to stop at Ikea.

Grover, you should strongly consider attending Burning Amp. I've wanted to go for years and just never have. I'm a huge Pass fan and Nelson always attends and gives interesting presentations. Well worth the time imho!
