I believe I picked up a taste for quality audio reproduction at a very early age. I almost literally cut my teeth on a pair of AR 2ax: one of them has a row of my teeth marks on them from when I was very young. I started DIY back in college, thanks to a copy of The Audio Amateur that I ran across in the engineering library. It inspired me to build a solid state linestage as a senior project. Years have passed now, but I'm thinking of digging the ol' soldering iron out. Best, eL |

Greetings eL, and welcome. One of the best parts about DIY these days is the incredible diversity of projects that are possible. There are quite a few members in your area and we are having a meet very soon, August 19th I believe. |

At the MWAF, Don's new CBT24 "Epique" versions were providing background music before the testing began. You can see them in the photo. I had dinner with Don one evening which was great because I don't see him as often as I did when I lived near Chicago. He had a collection of old photos of him in earlier days with vintage cars. Tom

I had a nice email correspondence with Don Keele while building the CBT36K kit mostly about programming the miniDSP HD 2x4. The next major improvent in the system would be to get rid of the miniDSP and let my htpc do all the audio dsp processing and crossover. I would use Jriver if they would only implement closed captions for digital tv channels. |

These are the file names of the 4 files they provide.
