Hello everyone,

My name is Brian, and I have just recently begun my exploration of DIY audio. I've previously built my system with what I found to be cost effective commercial offerings at craigslist discounts. Over July 4th weekend my dad and I built speaker cabinets to replace my front left, center, and right with identical speakers. They sound fantastic and look great. Best of all, my wife loves them. In building these, I relied on people at a different forum for inspiration to pull the trigger on DIY and help in choosing a design, the Continuum by Jeff Bagby. There aren't many people from the DC area in that forum, so I decided to see if there was a local DIY group and found this forum.

Hi, Brian, good to hear from someone else with cuts on their fingers and smoke in their eyes. Well, that's what I'm like, anyway.
Sorry I missed the gathering at Roscoe's this past weekend, but we'll meet in person eventually. Maybe you can post a picture or two of your speakers here so we can drool?

Welcome to the forum. Bagby designs are absolutely fantastic. Have heard the Continuum and they are amazing speakers. Am considering them for my next build. Techtalk is a great forum as well, much more active when it comes to speaker designs etc. Many of the guys here are amazing with amps, and you would be hard pressed to find a better resource in regards to amps, preamps etc

Jeff
