Finally listening to them! So excited. They were are a bit tubby in the 80–150 Hz range until I added some more Acousta-Stuf and got the MLTL dampened adequately, and I'm using some EQ (iTunes, the pinnacle of frequency response massaging—I know) to bring it down a bit more. What I've learned after some forum reading is the flatulence is somewhat expected since the port in addition to the TL supplement the lower registers of the active drivers, not the port or TL solely. I pulled the towers out from the wall about a foot and tried toeing them in about 15° which has helped a bit. I also need to add a stand or some feet to raise the tweeter about an inch or two to bring it up to ear level when I'm sitting, so maybe that'll attenuate some boundary loading from the floor as well.

Really gotta' seal that MDF up soon!!

AviaTrix - rough form, in habitat!

Purpleheart needs some roundover goodness and I want to flush mount the ND140-8s. I really need a nicer router—see burn marks. The missing mounting hardware is due to the Purpleheart shearing off my damn steel wood screws! Even with the holes predrilled to 80% thread diameter! What a bitch to work with... so much density and bit-destroying gumminess. Sure looks nice, though.

It looks good - I don't see any burn marks. Maybe if you make very small cuts with the router, gradually increasing the cuts until you're done?
