Hi again,

Long-time group member -- well, maybe not THAT long -- but just logging in here for first time.

My "Wretched Excess" system currently has 29 tubes; SET monoblocks (845 output tubes, EL34/KT77 driver tubes, 6N7/ECC31 input tubes) built by Grover Gardner; Aesthetix Calypso linestage and Rhea phonostage; Otari and Teac open reel decks, with deHavilland 222 tapehead preamp; ModWright/Oppo 105 CD/SACD player with tubed PS; modded Lenco 75 turntable, JMW 10.5i arm with 3 armtubes, multiple carts; Empire 398 table for 78s, w/Audio Technica HOMC 78 rpm cart and Rek-O-Kut "re-equalizer"; Nakamichi BX-300 cassette deck; Tascam CD-RW700 CD recorder; PS Audio P10 power regenerator and Tice Power Block 3 power conditioner; and heaven knows what else.

Oops, forgot the speakers: Gallo Stradas, modded floor stands, pair of self-powered Gallo TR-3 subs. Long-time Gallo owner, like these best of all I've had.

Near technical-illiterate (every group needs a first one), but do make my own ICs, power cords, etc.

Pretty huge collection of LPs, 78s, tapes, CDs, SACDs, cassettes.

Retired CEO of marketing communications/advertising firm. Too old and creaky to host group visits but I welcome individual members, pairs, etc. Oh yeah, did recently buy new Porsche Boxster so I'm not totally over the hill.

Best to everyone,
Dave Pogue

Your home, system and hospitality are absolutely first rate! It's a real pleasure whenever we have a chance to visit! Technical issues not withstanding, you are one of the cornerstones of this group!

Thanks for being there for us and setting a high standard Dave!

I'll pay a visit just to ride in the elevator. 8-)

I'll second what Stuart said, I really like those Gallo speakers and your amps with all that Magnequest Iron. Plus I could spend days just browsing your record room.

Dave,

Welcome to this website.

I belong in the same section as you (technically clueless DIYer) but like you I know what I like to listen to!
