Hey, this is Jacob, a technician over at local Berning amp factory, Linear Tube Audio. I'm located in Hyattsville and just getting my feet wet in DIY audio, aside from building already designed amps five days a week. I'm interested in SET designs, horns, and vintage audio. I am also interested in learning more theory in regards to simple tube circuits and would like to build my own Altec inspired horns or Nagaoka backloaded horns. I enjoy record collecting (mostly jazz, obscure ambient and world music lately), tube rolling, and deep listening. Before hifi, I was into patching modular synths and organizing local electronic music events but I've mostly set that aside for now.

Hope to learn, build, and grow with you. :music-listening: :obscene-drinkingcheers:

Welcome! Have have two things in common. David Berning and horns. Well -- maybe three things if you include SET amplifiers.

Welcome, Jacob!

I hope to meet you in person one day. I also have an old radio from the 30s-40s; maybe two radios. The big one has a motor for tuning to get to the other side of the dial faster!
