A phenomenal speaker is not a phenomenal speaker because the creator proclaims it so. It's only a phenomenal speaker after the witnesses proclaim it so, even though the creator might be one of the witnesses too.
That being said, the nature of true genius is that the true genius usually doesn't recognize himself as genius, because the thing he does that is so remarkable to the people who witness it, is so ordinary to him that he doesn't consider it extraordinary! A true genius will never proclaim it so. In fact a true genius, in most cases, might never recognize he's a genius at all!
