The following link might interest those who use Raspberry Pi's for audio processing -

I'm not sure how much credence I'd give their marketing hype. They've got a 10WPC amp board too, that they claim is powered by the Pi. Let's see, a typical Raspbeery Pi power supply is 5V at either 2 or 2.5A. Lets give them the benefit of the doubt, and assume a 2.5A PS. So, we've got a power supply that can only supply 12.5W powering a 20W amp AND the Pi. That's not likely to work very well..... :angry-banghead:

It's also no the only Pi hat based on the PCM5242....

There a a LOT of DAC boards for the Pi... There's doesn't seem like anything special compared to the rest of the marketplace.

I was referring to another product of theirs. If they're going to give you a line of BS on one, they're probably going to do it for the entire line...

Caveat Emptor re specs. I tested a Behringer iNUKE NU6000 stereo power amp that was rated at 3,100W/ch into 4 ohms and when it didn't meet specs I called them. They said that was "peak power" and the RMS output was 2,000W/ch. It clipped at 1,200W/ch and the only way to get 2,000 was to drive it so far into clipping it was essentially a square wave generator. However, at 1,200W/ch it behaved quite well and at a price of $350 it is a steal for a high powered amp. The only downside is that like most pro equipment it has fans.

If more women understood that, there would be a whole lot fewer marriages.

Maybe we should make it our mission in life to educate them. We could be heroes to generations of men to come :obscene-drinkingcheers:
