Happy Birthday Walt! Did you know that on this day in 1492 Christopher Columbus set sail on his first voyage with three ships, Santa María, Pinta and Niña from Palos de la Frontera, Spain for the "Indies"? And a few years later the world discovered you.

Just imagine what it was like for Walt to be a teenager when Columbus sailed. This coming from someone who had to dodge dinosaurs as a kid.

And I did not have the"deep pockets" to hire a group to play at my house. DAMN! Of course that was the true "Absolute Sound.!" You didn't have to bother with keeping LPs clean -- no programming issues -- no cables to worry about. However, musicians are a hungry group and when I had the surplus money to hire them they would eat me out of house and home between sets. To add insult to injury they were not too careful with furniture. Wet beer mug rings are evident everywhere.
