Thomas Davenport got the patent for the first U.S. electric motor.

He put the lessons learned from Faraday and others and invented a workable electric motor.

I love my Mikita. :thumbup: It will find anew use with the Versa Cutter. :D

I would go with Nikola Tesla who invented the entire ac power distribution system and the ac induction motor and many other things.
