After couple of days listen to it properly...I believe that the direct digital in make the MiniDSP MUCH better than the old version.
An ADC was the biggest problem of the Berringer crossover - even though it didn't have a DSP.
Now, I am listening to digital only (since 1987...)and my previews DAC cost about $350...

I have several pieces of Behringer equipment and the ADC was always the weakest part. They sounded much better with digital in. I'm using a DEQX Express II now and the ADC is quite good although most of my listening is digital in from my music server.

I have the latest version of the miniDSP, which is call the HD version. Higher sampling. It did not help much, still sounded glassy.
The litz-Riley sounds so much better, but you do not have the programmable eq
