Good to know.

Got my new 7.5uF run cap in last night. It measured at 7.9uF :( but that is better than the old one which measured at 5uF. The motor seems to blow better now.

I read a list of possible problems and then a list of GOOD, HONEST AC repair companies.

1. Where did you find this list? (or 'Where do we get these braims?')
2. You must not have had your wife bearing down on you because she was Hot (thermally, no jokes here.)

You're right - we didn't go back to that company, but getting a list of reputable workers without experiencing their work first is difficult.

Guy, I believe we used Angie's List, the service company was Shannon's, and Shannon himself drove out and repaired the unit, I stood by to watch and learn (and keep an eye on things). I checked out his firm online as well to get an idea of who I was dealing with, with my income so low, I check carefully as well as ask neighbors when they get work done. The only time we didn't, we got burned! And your right, Nancy was in no way going to allow that AC to go another day not working!

Yea! One problem solved! :D

Randy: Thanks! I was afraid I'd need to subscribe to a site like Angie's to get pertinent local information. :(
