Hey all,

I just sold my turntable and a couple records, but there was a recording I had that I really liked but it is not available on CD. Norah Jones Live in Houston.

I was just wondering if anybody has a digitized version of this and can burn me a CD?

I'll pay!

Thanks,

Chris

If you have the album I can digitize it and provide you with a CD and digital files in any format that you wish.

Is this like "I just shot myself in the ass, does anyone have a pair of tweezers"?

Sorry, Chris, I couldn't help myself. :angelic-green:

It is very funny!

I don't really miss the turntable however. I'm glad I bought it to experience vinyl, and I understand why people like vinyl, but just couldn't get into all the effort to make it work! Setting a needle, flipping over the record, cleaning the record, etc. etc.

As a speaker builder I make so many changes and adjustments to my speakers that I have to be able to pop a cd in and get to a track very quickly, and I do this like 20 times or more almost any time I make a change to my speakers.

Of course I could have kept the turntable for the times I was relaxing, and the cd for the times i'm working, but the turntable financed a new amplifier for me, which I really like!

Thanks Don,
I would have to buy the album again. It went with the turntable.

I might do it, and I can sell it or pass it to a friend. Are you anywhere near Alexandria?

One of the reasons why the format wars are overstated is that many times the best and sometimes the only recordings are limited to just one format. Then too are the price considerations> oftentimes a particular album is cheaper on one format vs another new or used. And if you already own a particular recording do you really need to buy the same recording in another format vs doing the transfer yourself.

I work in Crystal City so if you find the LP.... :violence-duel:
