The joys of winter listening.....

January 5th, 2014, 4:44 pm

Besides the fact that the miserable outdoor conditions make staying inside more sensible, I have noticed a difference in my system that I think is due to winter conditions.

With the change in seasons, my indoor humidity levels drop from ~60% down to the mid 20s. My untreated, 15" paper woofers sound like they grew some type of servo mechanism. Just faster and cleaner sounding in the winter with the low humidity. Beer also tastes better in the warmth of my home when it is miserable outside. :text-givemebeer:

The combination of all of the above (miserable outside + Dry woofers + warm inside + cold beer) is really a sonic upgrade that I wish I could bottle and sell to the world. :obscene-drinkingcheers:
