Tom,

Those sale prices on the dealer website are more than the retail price of other dealers.
I just checked one cable.

Siltech Explorer 90i 1M Interconnects
Philly Dealer's Sale price: $484
Another dealer's retail price: $416

And there it is. The oldest retail trick in the book. Markup the list price so the sale price (discount) looks like a "deal."

I never thought audio retailers would stoop so low. They just joined the ranks of clothing, jewelry, appliance, and furniture retailers.

Shashi, Walt,

The link points to a Canadian dealer, who is listing a sales price of $599 CAD down from $800 CAD list.

True, the conversion rate is $1US = $1.44CAD, so the sales price is $416

However, the list price is $555 US based on the current conversion rate. Which matches the list price listed at the US dealer in question. Both are served by the same NA distributor.

I think this is more the case of one dealers' sale price vs. another's.

David
