I can see it used by a manufacturer to burn in their cables so they perform well right out of the box, much like an amplifier manufacturer running amplifiers as a final quality control step, but for the average audiophile?

NO way Jose! $25,000 can buy another pre-amp -- or power amp -- or over-priced DAC or turntable -- or even an extended vacation to some exotic resort. For the audiophile that has more money then he/she can count -- he/she will buy into the the quantum physics marketing blather and believe they will reach nirvana buy treating their $20,000 cables. The theory being it will save the time and trouble with so-called upgrades costing even more cash.

Caveat Emptor!!

For Telos, it is a new product catered to a niche clientele.
New Product = New Business Opportunity
High-end audio happens to be their business line.

And yet -- an inexpensive signal generator together with an inexpensive power amp and one can provide the same therapy to cables for under $200.

:character-oldtimer: And how many of us would actually need to buy another power amp to do this? Most of us have a Raspberry Pi or an old PC that could serve as the signal generator.. Free, gotta love it! :obscene-drinkingcheers:

Not one damn thing. Besides only cables with a Teflon dielectric are the problem because of the way Teflon stores a static charge from the manufacturing process.
