Interesting video on the 3D printing. At the 2016 Speaker Design Competition, one of the engineering students who was an entrant used 3D printing to produce a speaker for his thesis. He doped the substrate with different types of fibers for the different sections to change the characteristics. The shape of the enclosures was also designed for each frequency range of the driver and had folds that added strength and rigidity. I'm including a photo.
