Paul,
I wouldn’t worry about it, the wire is shaped that way for coolant to run thru the center for stator windings in motors. Not sure if audio applications need to worry about cooling conductors, though perhaps transformers and speaker voice coils may benefit, the wire gets pretty small for that to be practical.

You are thinking too hard.
I went along with the silliness of the first post and just added my two pennies' worth.

Actually there was a company (Cogan- Hall) that designed and sold hollow-thin-tube audio interconnects. They weren't expensive ($295 per meter pair) and got rave reviews in the audio magazines.
As fast as they appeared on the audiophile scene they disappeared just as fast. Tiss a fickle audio world out there.

Can't vouch for Analysis Plus since I don't own any of their products. But I know that OMA Audio is a dealer and it is the only cable they sell. OMA stuff is not cheap so it is interesting that they use Analysis Plus stuff rather than some esoteric and ultra pricey cable. In fact, I think I'll order up a set of their entry speaker cables to see how they sound.
