I once attended a concert in Philadelphia where Muti conducted Messiaen's Turangalila which features the Ondes Martenot. It was the loudest piece I ever heard in a concert hall.

Today is our two-year anniversary of arriving at our unit overlooking the sea in Australia. As part of the celebrations, I will start testing a 2P29L - 45 SE amp.

That sounds like a cool amp. You using a battery or SMP for the 2P29L?

Initially, the filament bias similar to what Ale Moglia uses, but using an LM1086 instead of the Rod Coleman filament supply. The plate load is just a resistor at this stage.

If I like what I hear, then I will start making changes.
