Native 16/44 or 24/192 or DSD, no upsampling.

For example Miles Davis KOB at 24/192 and DSD64 vs UHQR Clarity vinyl edition. No comparison, vinyl sounds more present, alive, real. DSD sounds smoother than PCM but both digital formats sound lifeless, like a photograph of the real thing.

The Holo May DAC measures well but my vinyl setup sounds better IMHO. Laughably better in some cases. Shrug, it just does for some reason.

Interesting.
How are you using May to compare?
Vinyl vs Redbook or Vinyl vs hirez DSD/PCM?
Any upsampling?
