Of the six systems I have in the house, only one meets the requirements for Windows 11 (Must have TPM 2.0 enabled) My one system that has this feature is my main graphics computer with a bunch of programs I would have to reinstall So I will not be doing this until after CAF 2021 I am so sad that I will have to wait for at least 45 days to experience the new Windows 11. |

I have read that it is possible that a computer may have the ability to turn on TPM in the bios even if it is not currently active. There are sites on the web including Microsoft that detail how to do that. If the computer is really old it may be a no go. Tom |

Having looked at the changes to the interface and the supposed advantages, there is nothing in Windows 11 for me. I hate it when change is made for the sake of change. It reminds me of supermarkets that periodically change the locations of everything just so that you have to rediscover where your regular items have been moved to. ray |

Ray, I absolutely agree with you on the Grocery stores. It seems that my local Trader Joes does this about every year. I love the fact that it is small, I know where everything is, and I can quickly go through the store, getting everything I need (and alot of what I DON'T need), in just a few minutes. Then they change where everything is and it takes twice as long (or more). The biggest problem is Microsoft keeps changing the UI for no good functional reason. It is worse with the applications, you find features you used have been buried. And the admin tools have always been a mess, like Settings vs. Control Panel. David |

I'm still on Windows 7 where possible. On the two computers I've had to change to Windows 10 I keep discovering things I dislike about it. For instance, why can't you change the order of things pinned to applications on the task bar? You can in 7. |

They are doubling down on the concept of making Windows desktop more like a tablet. I am glad to see govt. agencies are moving to linux for the server sectors. Once someone comes up with desktop standards for Linux, Windows will be in trouble. |

It all depends on who you consider who your guru is I upgraded the bios on one of my test systems and it now complies. So I will install win 11 and see how it goes Since I believe most info on the net is crap I have to see for myself |

After further thinking I decided to wait until the first Win 11 upgrade before jumping in I did find this and tested his DeBloat script on two machines and as far as I can tell did not damage and seem to speed things up a bit https://www.christitus.com/windows |
