If only. AES/EBU, Ethernet, USB, and HDMI are different and similar in that no two designs are alike. So -- I have to ask -- what standards? Manufactured products are all over the place and the same goes for the electronics (sources and receivers).

Even with S/PDIF 75-ohm -- manufacturers do it in RCA and 50-ohm BNC connections and "call it" 75-ohm. WTF?!

Sounds like a pure academic exercise.

Any new transport medium for digital audio should be better than USB and I2S, not the other way around.

The AES has standards. And as you know everyone rigidly adheres to standards.

The webinar has not yet occurred. I don't believe this will be a discussion of the protocols, but rather the transport mechanism.
