I know what you are saying I was a "bits are bits" person myself until I heard the differences.
What is real to me is what I experienced, I can say no more.
it is just like everything else, everything matters, even the shelf your equipment sits on.
You need to get your head out of the dark place it is in and listen to the music for a change and forget the numbers.

I am not saying it wont make a difference. Obviously it does. Anytime you remove noise, it results in better audio.

My point is, there is a simpler solution to cleaning the noise from the ethernet cables.

In the hind sight, if you are using Pi , this solution is ideal as I dont think there is an SFP interface to Pi.
OTOH for anyone using a computer for a music server, the best solution would be to converting electrical signals into optical signals. But then, none of the audio companies sell that solution as the solution is simple and easy which doesnt translate into $$$.
