is not DSD and SACD very similar

SACD is the disc, DSD is the data format. Just like CD is the disk, 44.1/16 PCM is the format.

He just measures things. Would not trust him on any audio observations, he lets the measurements tell him how it sounds. Good source for performance data, though.

Maybe he is a buddy of Julian Hirsch. LOL!

SACD is the disc format using DSD64. DSD encoding can be DSD128, DSD256, DSD512 etc., each with higher bitrate/resolution, and some current DACs can decode DSD512. Check the Wikepedia article on Direct Stream Digital for more detailed explanation.

Interestingly he has a KLIPPEL speaker measurement system.

Would love to try the system out with speakers measurements, but would never send them to him. One DIY'er sent him a kit speaker to measure that sound excellent (I have a pair of the correctly built speakers) and he was like meh from the measurements. The DIY'er did not fully do what the kit says to do for the cabinet and baffle, so all bets off on what he measured and made judgement calls on.

Try some Cedille recordings with Rachel Barton Pine. A non-profit label that produces true hi-res recordings. I guarantee you'll hear a difference.

The Hans Beekhuyzen Channel put this up about The Golden Sound's rant about MQA

Okay, now I see we're talking about Amir here. His site is interesting to see what equipment measures well, but the idea that only equipment that measures well sounds good is ridiculous. And his example of a "hi-rez" recording is silly, as has been pointed out already. I wouldn't spend too much time on that stuff.

I find all the different opinions from the experts fascinating.
I do think Qobuz does sound better than Tital at least on my system.
I now know why, well maybe

There could be reasons other than Qobuz upsamples everything to 24 bit.
