Amazing technology

Although this is not directly audio related it shows how far technology has progressed. If you haven't seen this on the news, it is amazing. Never bet against technology.

You don't want to know how many lines of code it takes and how long it took to get that beast animated. HONDA's Asimo robot is crude by comparison.

it truly is a staggering leap in what I have seen up to this point in Robotics

The programming must have been a major undertaking. BTW, Boston Dynamics, the creators of these robots and the programming just got purchased by Hyundai.

Hundai shelled out $921 million usd's. Why didn't Tesla or Amazon pick it up. This would have been pocket change for them. "Big Mistake....Huge"

Pretty simple actually, once the gyroscopes are mastered. We had Segway PT two wheel vehicles for over 20 years, more recently single wheel hover boards etc. The point is, its pretty easy to program this things to do some sequence of movements.

Real test for robotics is in Artificial Intelligence. State of AI determines who Robots they can analyze and solve problems in real time.

lets see you do it

Sure lots of repeated sub-routines, but still compared to other Robot demos this was pretty amazing. The great old standard dance song certainly helped in the entertainment value.

Nothing is sacred. But what most people do not know is that Hyundai is a massive conglomerate that covers everything from house-hold appliances and cars all the way to marine engineering including ship building and locomotives.

Hyundai definitely had the deep pockets for that purchase and I would imagine some very interesting plans for the 'bot tech.
