During the American Revolution, Washington wrote home to Martha to tell her he'd been appointed commanding general of the Continental Army, and said he hoped to be home for Xmas. He was, but 8 years later. I hope you have better luck ;)

I agree. And I'm not referring to this joint, I'm referring to the USA joint.

I shot on the Air Force Hi Power rifle team for about 4 years. I also shot 3-gun. Looking to get back into it, now that I'm retired from the military. For those who feel the need to correlate gun ownership to penis size, most of us got past those kinds of petty insults in 8th grade. And to the person who hates guns so much that he/she hopes we all shoot ourselves in the genitals, the National Alliance on Mental Illness has a hotline at 1-800-950-NAMI. You are clearly violent and disturbed and would benefit from some counseling. I wish you luck and a full recovery.

I apologize, my 8th grade comment was perhaps too trite, my intent was really with respect to those who ostentatiously display guns in peaceful public settings with implicit threat or intimidation, asserting power and control outside of having an official capacity and reason to do so. It is the psychology of using guns to give oneself the sense of power when one is otherwise powerless.

Not sure if this information is correct but interesting.

The instructor who taught us last week mentioned that 2.4 mil guns are sold in Virginia since March of this year. That is about a gun for every household.

The reason I find it interesting is, if these numbers are accurate, it tells a story about the culture. Firearm ownership is very much part of the culture. It wood be a terrible idea to make criminals out of large sections of population by banning firearms. Better work on ways to keep the firearms from the hands of criminals and people with psychological issues.

There is a severe shortage firearms in the market, don’t know the reason.

Relevant Data -

https://qz.com/1095899/gun-ownership-in ... ee-charts/

It would seem that there are a relatively few people that own half of all the guns. Could we call this the Arsenal Syndrome?

I would expect the data about stereo equipment ownership to be pretty similar.

Thirty-two percent of U.S. adults say they personally own a firearm, while 44% of households contain a firearm according to Gallup.
