If you want these speakers to go down only to 80Hz, Forte lll’s 12” woofer with 15” passive radiator is an overkill . A 6” woofer would suffice. Something like this: 20-80Hz. - Subwoofer 80-800Hz - 6” woofer in a sealed box. 2 woofers if you need to increase the efficiency. 800-4000Hz - JBL 2440 with Emilar Eh-800 exponential horns > 4000 - Altec 802-8D with Faital Pro 1.4kHz elliptical tractrix horn BTW, compression drivers listed above are vintage. |

If you limit yourself to what is available on Parts Express what would you use? I was thinking of the following - B&C ME75 2" Horn (I don't know what driver would be best) Eminence APT 200 Super Tweeter Scanspeak M22WSR-45 8" Woofter |

Scanspeak M22WSR-45 frequency response until 900Hz is very flat. May be Tomp can shed some light on the specs. I wonder what type of magnet it uses. I cant be much help regarding new compression drivers, havent tried them. |
