Loaded Kodi. Subscribed to a few channels. YouTube requires some kind of ARI to work and most channels don't work. I was able to watch South Park. I thought there would be radio stations.

I want to use Daphile or similar music server IOS, but it will not load. I can't figure out Volumio. It doesn't have USB loading instructions. So far, I played around with Rhythmbox. It has nothing for streaming channels.

It might be loading.. If the screen is going crazy, wait a couple minutes and see if it doesn't setup a wifi hotspot on the netbook. Instructions for doing an install over wifi are on the daphile website...

Kodi is working better on the desktop with regular Ubuntu than with the laptop with Ubuntu-Mate.

That laptop MAY be old enough to only work with 32-bit OS. Not sure if Daphile still has a 32-bit version. D/L what they have, put it on a thumb drive, if it'll boot off the thumb drive, you should be good to go. I think Stuart ran Daphile on a netbook a while back, but don't know if it was the 32 or 64bit version...

Any help?

My issue is using Window 7 for a raid.

But who cares. Try it out. Got to learn by trying. If it works, great. If it doesn't, well, don't ask us to fix it.

The last I checked (maybe a few seconds ago) this is a DIY AUDIO discussion board. If you need computer advice, best go somewhere else. This is good for getting opinions, but best to go to the experts. There are LOADS of computer discussion boards.
