I was noodling around the Marchand website (I use their bass management system for my subs) and found this
windows based signal generator, very basic and free

Another one that will make test signal files is Audacity that is also free for multiple OS.

This is a screen shot of version 2.3.2.

Yes Audacy is better and I use it for testing. a very good product. requires a good measuring mic if you want to use it as spectrum analyser.
The Marchand is just a very simple sig gen

The keyboard up/down arrows adjust the frequency.
