Having a TVC or balanced preamp really helps with changes in polarity. I have a TVC that I wired to invert at the input. I found that it really makes a significant difference in the musical presentation. Because my P&G attenuator is more transparent, I use this and not worry about phase, but ideally would like to have this capability because it can really correct for a recording that is overly forward sounding, or alternatively, seem very recessed. I might put the TVC back in again, especially since I have not heard it with my new speakers.
