I remember in the "Speaker Builder" magazine a DIY electrostatic speaker where you built the panels from scratch and a 1000W dissipation direct drive tube amp for that speaker. Might anyone here have that issue.

I still think the most over the top DIY is the guy who was making his own vacuum tubes. Search youtube for video...

Extreme doesn't even begin to explain it. I realize that there are over-the-top DIY folks out there, but WOW! Fabricating tubes and transistors??!
