I have a high efficiency 18" sub we could use for the bottom octave. Maybe set up the chairs facing away from the speakers and play pipe organ music. I never understood why we face the speakers when listening to organ music. They're always in the back of the church. ;-)

I haven't heard many pipe organs in person, but they have all been at the front of the hall. Including at the Kennedy Center.

Some are in the front, some are in the back and some have ranks in multiple places.

Mono system would make setup and transport easier too!

A really good mono system might be a eye opener and conversation starter for attendees.

As well as vinyl, perhaps we could play some 78's.

Thanks, Dave. I've not seen one at the front of a church/venue. Didn't know there was one at the Kennedy Center. (Insert dope slap emoji)

I also have a 50s era corner cabinet. Think It's about 8 cu ft. It's got a coax in it now, but we could swap out a more appropriate woofer (or disconnect the CD) and I'm sure someone has an Altec horn/driver selection that could sit on top. (?) No console though. That would be the best.

I have a fair number of mono LPs but no real mono setup. I do know that listening to mono LP with one monoblock turned off is still enjoyable. You sort of listen in a different way and my attention just seems to focus more on dynamic contrasts and tone as opposed to wondering around the sound stage. I will have up a mono TT setup in the not too distant future and I always look out for mono Jazz LPs!

I think a mono setup at CAF would be a lot of fun and would probably blow lots of minds too.
