Sony Digital Music Port

October 23rd, 2018, 11:43 am

A friend has a small Sony "mini-stereo" at work. He is asking for a good music player with >64GB of memory, and such features as "album, random selection, artist, etc.

I don't think that audiophile quality is a requirement here, but i'm betting he'll use the player elsewhere, so decent sound playback is a good idea.

Here is the rub: his Sony has a DMPORT for signal input (besides the analog auxiliary input).

I see that adaptors are available on eBay.

Suggestions? This is outside of my "wheelhouse".

Stu,
Not sure this meets your friends requirements but my wife uses an older 4th gen ipod Nano (SSD) to play music (lossless 16/44) in an office system. It only has 16GB storage but sone of the larger ipod models store 64GB or 128GB. Find em used on ebay.

Thanks Mr. TD. I'll suggest that to him along with the adapter dock.
