This is how you do it with all versions of Windows. There's so much more Foobar can do, ASIO is just scratching the surface.

Yes, even the WASAPI(Event) DAC component interface is bit perfect at this point for Win7 and above. If you are running WinXP then add the Kernel Streaming component instead of WASAPI for bit perfect. All are alternatives to ASIO.

Also lots of memory usage and program priority tweaks available.

If you are running a 64bit OS, you can tell the ASIO component to use that driver as well if the DAC is supported.

Big thing is to turn off auto gain. Then you control volume from track to track.
