This area will soon be closed to non-contributing industry participants. Unfortunately, the activities of certain members of the audio industry, combined with the need to pay for development and reduce time wasted by non-contributors, have made maintaining FREE access to this site for all members of the audio industry an impossible goal.

If you are a non-contributing industry participant and would like to become a contributor, that would certainly be appreciated. Click here for info.

If you are an employee of a contributing industry participant aka sponsor and would like continued access, please click here to request that your status be changed.

Thank you.

On Audio Circle, "Audio/Video Gear and Systems" and "The Marketplace" have this message at the top of the pages. Anybody know what's going on or what happened?

Don't know. But maybe Roscoe can create a few more topics to suit that crowd and we can tell them to come on over.

I think the fellow running AudioCircle keeps a pretty tight rein on things there. Unusual site in that both paying businesses getting exposure for their wears, and enthusiasts share the space. If you follow the links provided, and also skim some of the threads in the Industry section, it looks like they're just getting folks (industry participants) back in line with the website rules and payment schedule.

AudioCircle is after all a for profit business. Which makes me wonder about how Roscoe is paying for this site. Have we discussed this previously? Is there a donation path, Roscoe?

I'm hosting this at work, with the full knowledge/permission of my employer. My only cost is the domain name registration...

Roscoe

I could also host it for free, not that it matters. Most places you park your domain at provide free applications like forums.
