Hockey puck as a record clamp

August 20th, 2013, 9:27 am

I drilled a hole in a hockey puck to use as a record clamp for my turntable. What do you all think?

It's a bit light to be effective solely based on mass, and unless you made the hole undersized, it won't clamp via friction either. Probably better than nothing, but probably not the best choice out there.

BTW, how did you get the hole centered? :banana-gotpics:

I drew an x on the bottom & eyed it. I's maybe a mm off. It does fit tightly on my turntable spindle. I'll bring it over to the next meeting.
