This week, Part Time Audio has an interesting discussion with Rob Watts of Chord Audio on how proper rendition of transients affects musical realism and the things necessary to achieve good transient response at the ADC and DAC level. It is a good discussion but I'm not sure of the impact of this on "normal" systems in "normal" rooms. Here is a link:
