That's why it's only a teaser. Still a lot to do before writing the complete article.

I have started to do some preliminary tests of the eggs. I'm including a graph of in room frequency response and distortion at a distance of 1 M and a level of 85 dB. This is through the passive crossover. I did some impulse response measurements and sent them to Bil Dudleston at Legacy who is going to do the initial programming of one of his Wavelet processors that he is going to loan me for the active vs passive tests. The Wavelet is the processor built by Bohmer Audio in Sweden that Bill uses in his $80K flagship Valor speaker system.

Tom,

Any updates on this project? I'm dying to know what the sound like once fully optimized.

Cheers,
Dhar

Before I do anything else I will have to move them out of the basement into my living room. I will have to move the RD75s and mid bass arrays from the living room to the basement to make room. I'm rearranging the basement now to accept them but since all the speakers are very large it will take some time. Unfortunately I really do not have a good room for listening but the living room is the only option. When we build our new house outside of Philly, it will have a dedicated listening room but that is still two years away.
