What you also can use to finish the cabinets on all surfaces without curved edges is formica. I used it on both the cbt36k's and the sub woofers. You would need a trim router and ball bearing guide bit to trim the formica to size after applying it with contact cement. For the speaker mounting panel (everything is mdf) I first used a large (a big as I could find) indelible magic marker and then several layers of black shellac and buffed it.

Thanks for the info.

I do not have woodworking tools and terrible with finishes.

The cabinets are flat packs and will be pained by folks I know.

Applying formica is not difficult. See links -

I used flat black formica ordered from Home Depot, but there are many colors available.

The 4 servo drivers arrive today. Everything else is here to start the build over the next few months for the OB subs.

Rich, you are the busiest retiree I know, keep on going! Maybe we can get 2-4 people from this area to make a pilgrimage down to see/hear you in Dec/Jan once the 16 channel setup is dialed in?

That is doable. Just depends on how 3-6 Dec goes trying out the new 16 channel unit.

Will be on travel on and off, but by 22 Jan should be home for quite awhile.

My room only holds 3 people for sitting, but have plenty of space for folks to sit and chat while demo's are going on.

Order some pizza and have beer, so if that works, we can figure out a date.
