The USB to I2S Bus adaptor arrived after the second box was shipped. Took 45 days in total.

This is the XMOS U208 based board from eBay.

Got the XMOS U208 driver for the Q1 running on Windows 7 OS and the board is playing back files. The blue power LED is working and everything appears correct.

Next, solder the pin header on the pc board and use the cable harness from the original AK4490 DAC to try the AK4495SEQ DAC.

The interesting thing is the filter select DIP switches do not let the user access the superslow rolloff filter in the spec sheet. That may need to be a pc board mod to select that filter mode. That was the newest filter mode added to the AK4495SEQ version, so will be interesting to give it a try.
